Welcome to Tucker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing facility located off Idlewood Road, our goal is to provide the best nursing care in DeKalb County. We focus on implementing continuous quality improvement measures across the entire spectrum of the healthcare services we provide. overall I am very pleased with this rehab center. my only complaint is the quality of the food. I think it could be a little better quality and cooked a little differently. the activities are excellent with something for everyone everyday. I hate I missed the birdhouse building but the concierge is going to help me get one. I also would enjoy more dessert. I miss them.

I stopped by to visit a friend of mine and I could not be more impressed with this facility. The staff members are so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is nothing like any other care facility that i’ve seen. Im so grateful for tucker and the care they are giving my friend. If i could give more than 5 stars i would.

Great experience. Staff is awesome. Daily physical therapy and occupational therapy sessions got me strong and walking. Food is pretty good dinners are usually light. You can change what the deliver if you don’t like what’s on the menu.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! THE PHYSICAL THERAPY TEAM IS AMAZING! I WILL START BY SAYING THAT. I HAVE A LOVED ON ON THE REHAB SIDE OF THE FACILITY AND THAT SIDE IS AWFUL! SMELLS LIKE PEE AND POOP EVERY OTHER DAY! I WILL GIVE ONE EXAMPLE...MY LOVED ONE HAS A ROOMMATE THAT WAS LEFT FOR HOURS IN A DIRTY DIAPER. SHE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL AT 5 PM AT 7 PM WHEN I WENT TO SEE MY LOVED ONE HER ROOMATES BED WAS EMPTY AND SATURATED IN PEE THAT WAS LEFT SINCE 5PM. HERE ITVIS THE NEXT DAY AT 10BAM AND MY LOVED ONES ROOM SMELLED SO BAd i COULDNT STAY FOR MY VISIT. AND WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SMELL THE CHARGE NURSE ON DUTY ASK MY LOVED ONE ARE YOU SURE ITS NOT YOU? MY LOVED ONE USES THE BATHROOM ON HER OWN! Very few nurses and cna care about the people there. They are just there to get a paycheck. The only reason my loved one is still there is due to the amazing physical therapy and the physical therapy staff. Also you can not talk to the people in place to handle these situations because the rudeness is off the charts. It's really sad that people are treated like this and it goes on un noticed or talked about. I am again speaking of the rehabilitation side of this facility. I plan to make reports until something is changed or I'm heard.

I came here to tucker for rehab. All the rehab therapists are very helpful and attentive. The staff is very friendly. My overall stay as far as the room has be good. The nurses and cnas have tested me very well.

I came here for rehab. The rehab staff is amazing! The concierge staff is amazing! The cnas are good as well. I recommend this location for rehab. The only reason I did not give it a 5 stars is the food selection needs improvement.

I was a patient at Tucker Wellness and Rehabilitation for 3 weeks ( IV therapy ). My experience was exceptional. The staffing as a whole was courteous and caring to each patient. The physical therapy and occupational therapy staff were on point each day making sure I exercised. Thank you so much!!

My Dialysis and physical therapy experience has been very well! Especially physical therapy they are non stop! Today I got a big hotdog in a bun with sauerkraut and mustard and couldn’t ask for a better meal! The staff is phenomenal always something to do! We even played balloon volleyball!

My mother was here less than 12 hours, the facility is filthy, she was left in her own mess. As retaliation for removing her the facility reported neglect to adult services. We welcome the visit and will be able to share with the state the deplorable setting other patients are in. When reading the reviews, be informed a lot are comprised of employees, thus artificially inflating the ratings. Do not send anyone here without a site visit.

Not a good facility to get stretcher patients in and out of the actual building. For months their doors to the main entrance have been broken almost hitting the patients every single time if it wasn’t for my team and I caring about them. I think the front desk lady enjoys watching transportation struggle with those doors because she just sits there and stares versus walking 4-5 feet to hold open the doors. She doesn’t care clearly. I also had my CNA training here and was “trained” to step over a patient with the whole class because the patient apparently does that for “attention” one of the staff workers said. Enough said. It’s sad.

This skilled nursing facility was not a good welcoming experience. There were some issues with the facility to where state was called in and new staff was not informed. I was being told from other staff members about the horrible compliments from residents and family members. The nurses are very dependent on the med techs and want med techs to do their nursing duties. Med techs do not do nursing assessments. According to Kimberly the DON her nurses run the show .The Don states everybody is responsible for patient center care.Nurses do not help out and answer lights. One particular nurse Thyoris is wonderful. Well i don't see how when a resident told me the overnight nurse lied about giving his pain medication on time . The nurse brung the DON into the room to clear up her lie infront of the resident . You don't lie to a patient .To clear it up its not the company it's the staff . I see that alot of staff is untouchable including the DON and other management staff meaning that they think they cant be terminated. Anybody in the facility can be terminated including human resources. Lastly , I informed the Administrator and Kimberly DON about a resident being inappropriate and how i felt uncomfortable. Kimberly words were in healthcare you experience people with dementia and behaviors . Kimberly also stated Im sorry that happened to you . Neither of them showed no concern and this resident is clearly in his right state of mind . I am not going to post how I feel about the DON Kimberly i will just pray for her instead.

I can only give praises to Tucker Nursing and Rehab Center. Initially, when I arrived here I was not mobile. I could not walk or stand. Here I am, now three weeks later and I am walking and standing with minimal assistance.Hats off to the great rehab team that they have. It is the best!!All of the staff encourage and inspire you to do your best. I look forward to going to rehab every day.I am forever grateful to the staff for their hard work in my recovery. They genuinely care about you and your well being.If I could give Tucker Nursing and Rehab Center more than five stars I definitely would. I would give them 100 stars if I could!!!!****

From the first day I seen the hate but this is what I got paid to say so I entered this building up to now I can truly say it is amazing from the staff to the residents when you first enter the building you get a loving warm feeling the staff is amazing the new owners are making the nursing and rehabilitation home a wonderful place to be they make you feel welcome and important since I have started working as an activity assistant I have found it to be the very best job I have ever had I enjoy meeting the new patients along with all of the residents family and friends I learned so much from them Miss Takia is a wonderful person to hate on you if you have a shape 😄. All that is lies I was giving a gift card to write ✍️ this but let me tell you the truth at this place I am one of the most loved person there just ask about me and then you have the ladies that are supposed to be bosses and leadersleaders they are so ghetto I seen how they talk about everyone who works there and how they act 🤣 🤣 outside of work GHETTO to the Max the DON is trying to take over the administrator job SMH 🤦🏾‍♀️ I was let go because they were so jealous of my body and size and how I dressed that they would come up with anything to say but then they dress just like me 😂 then you have social services sleeping with my boss the activity director 😔 SMH 🤦🏾‍♀️ then you have the administrator asking him what is his love language and trying to sleep with him and this is what he told me happend but that's who runs the company 🤣🤣 sad but I am happy and excited 😌 because I really appreciate all the things I learned from some of the CNAs but I am happy they let me go because I was ready to leave on the 1st anyway because I have my own business and I am taking time off to work on it but if you love your family run away from here please so let me be clear 🙏 the only reason I was let go was because of all jealousy and that's Sad and Not A Good Look for Older women but okay 👍👍

Worked at this awful place recently and the first thing to note is…. THEY GIVE $25 gift cards(to employees) if you write a good review, so the more emails you have the better…… just going down this timeline if you call the facility and ask to speak with the names of the 4 star reviews that will answer your first question right there 😂😂😂😂. Secondly…… if you love your family member RUNNNNNNNNN FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!! THE DON could care less about you or your family…. She’s busy strutting through the facility in the same tired old brown dusty shoes every single day demeaning the staff; even those that are not her own and sowing discord between staff members with her manipulation and narcissistic behavior.( If you value peace and your back!), the money isn’t worth the time. They are consistently short staffed and the staff they do have are just warm bodies. Yes, meds are constantly late the med techs who barely have any training are passing meds to 30-40 people and have patient care for 3-5 individuals the entire shift. By patient care I mean they are the CNA the care provider for 3-5 individuals all day, they must feed them bathe them change them turn them CARE FOR THEM while being responsible for med pass for all 30-40 people(depending on the cart) on their cart. The positions these individuals are left in most of the time are so sad. Both the resident and the CMA actually. I could go on all day about the lack of management skills and deplorable disposition of the management team at Tucker Nursing and Rehab. Instead I rid myself and pray for a change on behalf of the residents who have to live there. No matter the response to my review, all who enter will see for themselves. This is NOT the place to be. Unprofessionalism AT ITS FINEST. Go and let them prove it to you.

Our brother has been receiving treatment at Tucker Wellness and Rehabilitation Center for the last several months.Many accolades for their attention to quality patient care and assistance, and at the same time, being truly concerned and compassionate for the individual person are: Andrea A, hard working case worker; Chez W, activities director extraordinaire and really helpful in every way; Ms. Stacey, always compassionate, knowledgeable, and so hard working, and Kim F, nurse director who we recently met and appreciate her attention to detail. Understand the facility is now under new management. This is a good thing. Many physical changes are being made in the building, equipment, and grounds. We appreciate and are thankful for all the hard- working staff here. Keep up the good work!

The halls, rooms, bathroom and/or floors were not clean and there was a strong smell or urine. I was told that there was only one RN to cover the facility as to why it took so long b/f the nurse would arrive at my sister's room. My sister has developed a large bedsore which is infected, to the tail bone is visible and now has been transported/admitted into the hospital, had surgery on that area a day ago. So, I am very dissatisfied with the facility and staff as a whole. My sister was told by EMS, which transported my sister, that the staff told him not to tell her where they were transporting our sister to. That in it self suggest they may be trying to hide something. The person at the entrance is very welcoming and that's it.

Courteous knowledgeable staff. I've witnessed the kitchen staff interact with the patients and are concerned about whether they've eaten enough or not. Everyone cares for the patients and that's awesome to witness. The parking is a little tight admittedly. Let me leave with this quote "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. My mom is a resident at Tucker and since she has been there we (she and I) have had an amazing experience. From the staff being able to take care of all her needs to the kitchen staff being able to help desire her meal preferences to the cleaning staff making sure not only her room but the building itself stays clean. I couldn’t have found/chose a better place for her to stay. If you are looking for somewhere to send your loved one add Tucker Wellness to your list .

Great place to work. The staff treat the residents like family. This is a very family oriented community. The environment is relaxed. In comparison to other places that I have worked I actually feel that the agenda is patient care instead of policies and politics.

Local to Tucker. Went to Tucker high school. Live about 15 min from this facility. My uncle recently had a stroke so we were recommended Tucker Nursing home as it is close to our home and the other facilities in the area had terrible reviews. Glad to say we made the right choice. Everyone is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the food seems to be good. Rehab gym is pretty impressive and love the fact that the rehab team are very encouraging. Give this place a 5 star as me and my family see progress with our uncle and are treated like we matter.

Tucker Wellness and Rehabilitation Center was the most professional hiring experience I Have ever had in my 13 years as a CNA! The starting pay is extremely competitive and far above average for my profession. The facility was clean and beautiful.
